The above agreement for the amount of US $120,000,000
has been implemented through the US Agency for International Development.
Due to unique expertise in identification of the
most cost efficient products ICS Technologies, Inc. (former International
Construction Services, System Integration Division, Inc.) has been
awarded procurement contract for a total value of over US $9,000,000.
This program was launched by VP Gore and consisted
of 45 small contracts. ICS was awarded 17
of these contracts. These projects were located in ten different
cities in Russia. ICS had to mobilize the personnel in Russia and
associated itself with Sun Computer Systems, Digital Corporation,
Silicon Graphics, Varian Corporation of Palo Alto California, and
Geophysical Data Systems of Moscow. At the same time ICS established
its office in Moscow, Russia. This office provided in country support
for ICS to manage all contracts in Russia.
The products supplied by ICS under the
Energy Efficience and Environment Commodity Import Program (EECIP)
ranged from sophisticated turnkey Environmental Control Laboratories,
single high-end spectrophotometers, to office automation equipment,
including personal computers and complete network solutions.
The high level of services brought up by ICS provided
for customers satisfaction and successful implementation of the
project.
